Awards & Achievements

2017 NCTC High School Play Festival: Watching Paint Dry by Sam Cheatham, won a Superior Rating, and an Excellence in Playwriting for Sam. Tracks, by Peter Tarsi won a Superior Rating and and the cast involved won an Excellence in Ensemble Acting award. Mr. Robert Reid Goodson won an Excellence in Directing Award for his work with Tracks

2015 NCTC High School Play Festival: A Human Write, by Amy Sutton received a Superior Rating at the regional and state level. In addition, the advanced theatre class won a rating of Outstanding Achievement in Ensemble Acting, Excellence in Acting Award for Lauren Hewer, and Outstanding Achievement in Directing for Mr. Robert Reid Goodson 
2012 NCTC High School Play Festival : Ace Adams Detective Extraordinaire received a rating of Excellent and awards for Excellence in Style and Excellence in Ensemble Acting
2011 NCTC High School Play Festival: What Good Is A Lady?: received an award for excellence in script development as well as an individual award for excellence in Acting for Sarah Tucker
2010 NCTC High School Play Festival: Comfortably Numb Received a rating of Excellent as well as the Outstanding Achievement award in Ensemble Acting 

2009 NCTC High School Play Festival: Carnival received and award for Excellence in Playwriting

2005 NCTC High School Play Festival: The Least Offensive Play in the Whole Darn World & Stand Center Stage and Bark received a rating of Excellent 
1988 North Carolina Theatre Conference - Honorable Mention in Ensemble Acting
1986-1987 NCTC - High School Theatre Conference State Finalist

2011 and 2013:  The A. C. Reynolds High School Theatre Arts Department was nominated to attend the American High School Theatre Festival!
2016 - PTSO Grant for Guys and Dolls 
Theatre Arts Program has received Buncombe County Schools Foundation classroom grants to make costumes for their Productions of Midsummer Nights Dream (2008), Love's Labour's Lost (2009), Macbeth (2010), Hamlet(2011) and The Winter's Tale (2013) by William Shakespeare.
