McCullough, Melissa (Social Studies)

Welcome to my classroom!

For the fall of 2021, I will be teaching Civics and Economics and American History II.  AP Human Geography will be offered in the spring semester along with Civics and Economics.  I am entering my 22nd year of teaching and seventh year here at AC Reynolds.  Prior to moving to North Carolina in 2007, I taught in Michigan for seven years.
I graduated from Grand Valley State University (in Michigan) earning my B.S. degree in Social Studies Education and a Masters degree in Secondary Education History. Currently, I am working on my doctorate degree in Education Leadership from the University of the Cumberlands, looking to graduate in the spring of 2022!
My husband and I reside in the AC Reynolds community with our two children.  Our daughter is a graduate of AC Reynolds high school and is in college and our son is currently enrolled at AC Reynolds High School.  Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family experiencing Asheville's food, music and hiking scenes as well as participating and watching sports of all kinds, especially those my children are playing.
