McCullough, Melissa (Social Studies)

Welcome to my classroom!
As a member of our social studies department I primarily teach Civics and Economics along with the AP Human Geography course. I graduated from Grand Valley State University (Michigan) earning my B.S. degree in Social Studies Education and a Masters degree in Secondary Education History. Prior to moving to North Carolina in 2007, I taught in Michigan for seven years. I co-chair the Social Studies department with Bill Rice.
I am also our girls Varsity volleyball coach.
My husband and I reside in the AC Reynolds community with our two children who are both enrolled in the AC Reynolds/Cane Creek schools.  Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family experiencing Asheville's food and music scenes as well as participating and watching sports of all kinds, especially those my children are playing.
