Goodson, Robert Reid (Fine Arts)

Greetings! I am Robert Reid Goodson (Mr. G), the theatre arts teacher. I am very excited to be part of the Rocket family and continuing the tradition of quality performances produced by our students.
I bring with me a very diverse background in the arts. Previously, I served as the Managing Director for the Tift Theatre for Performing Arts in Tifton, Georgia. During my time here, I directed youth and community theatre productions and created original programing. In addition, I handled all of the marketing and grant writing for the city.  I return every summer to direct the Sizzlin' Stage Summer Camp.
Prior to my time in Tifton, I worked for the Center for Arts Education in New York City while obtaining my Masters in Educational Theatre from New York University.
I am entering into my ninth year of teaching, as I have taught for both Randolph and Guilford Counties in CTE Vocational Business Education. Go Wildcats!
I have been involved with different aspects of the theatre arts since I made my debut at The Andy Griffith Play House as Harry the Horse in Guys in Dolls (2003).
With 43 productions of experience, I value a student led classroom full of exploration and hands-on achievements. Theatre is hard work, and
