Cross Country and Track & Field

Coach Honea is the director of the cross country and track & field programs at A.C. Reynolds High School.

 2021 CROSS COUNTRY INFORMATION
Cross Country will return to the normal fall schedule for 2021!
Practice for fall high school sports begins Monday, August 2.  You must have a completed athletic physical on file with the school to participate in practices or summer workouts.  Forms are available at the Athletics link on the ACRHS home page.

Cross country is open to all students regardless of experience, and no one who regularly attends practice will be cut.  

SUMMER WORKOUTS BEGIN IN JUNE
Tentative summer schedule (please check back here to confirm if you have not been regularly attending workouts - this could be adjusted based on summer school or other factors.)
  • Monday - 6:00pm - ACR Track
  • Tuesday - 7:30am - Cane Creek Pool
  • Wednesday - 6:00pm - JBL Soccer Park (use parking lot next to Field #1)
  • Friday - 7:30am - ACR Track 
  • Saturday - 8:00am or 9:00am - Bent Creek (park acorss from entrance, between the river & Hwy 191)
Note:  The weeks of July 5-11 and July 19-25 are "dead weeks" where no group workouts with coach are allowed.  Runners are encouraged to keep running on with tteammates or on their own.

All summer workouts are voluntary and are open to all students.  If you are travelling or cannot attend some workouts, come when you can and make a plan to train on your own the rest of the time.  Please contact Coach Honea by email to get on the cross country info list and get training plans for times you will be away.

CROSS COUNTRY SCHEDULE WILL BE POSTED THIS SUMMER.  WE EXPECT TO HAVE AN OPENING SCRIMMAGE DURING THE WEEK OF AUGUST 9-14, AND OUR FIRST OFFICIAL MEET AUGUST 21.
