After competing with 4,000 marketing students from across the state at the NC Career Development Conference, Jack Couzins and Titus Fore scored 4th place, and will represent our school at the DECA international conference at Universal Studios in Orlando.

"This is incredible," Titus shared. "I can't believe we're going global!"

Mason Blau, Nathan Burgin, Atticus Garlock, Michael Morris, and Brennan Tedder placed in the top ten of their state competition categories. Keria Caulder, Jerry Caulder, Bryce Clark, Kayla Doughty, Luke Hawkins, Henry Kight, Cayden Rejzer, Neva Smith, and Nya Zimmerman scored at the top of the Blue Ridge District.

"We couldn't be more proud of the leadership and real-world business skills all of these students showed," says Marketing teacher Ken Ulmer, the DECA chapter co-advisor. "It's a tough competition, and to have every single one of our students honored for their achievement is a testament to their hard work and creativity."

Co-advisor Stephanie Scott was also honored for 15 years of supporting DECA students in WNC at the state conference.
