BCS Spring Musical Season Starts

The schools are alive, with the sound of music! 

Just as the flowers blossom around the mountains, talent sprouts on stages all across Buncombe County Schools for spring musical season. Students and teachers are dialing in dialogue, shining up spotlights, and printing out programs as they get set to raise curtains around the county. 

Tickets are available at the door for each show. Productions listed with links also offer advanced ticket sales online. This year’s schedule includes:

  • “Spongebob Junior” at Valley Springs Middle School: 7pm April 16-18, 2pm April 18

  • “Shrek The Musical” at North Buncombe High School: 7pm April 23-24, 2:30pm April 25-26

  • “Once Upon a Mattress” at A.C. Reynolds High School: 7pm April 23-25, 2pm April 25

  • “Hadestown” at T.C. Roberson High School: 7:30pm April 23-25, 2pm April 25

  • “In a Room Somewhere” at Erwin High School: 7pm April 24, 2pm April 25

  • “Footloose” at Enka High School: 7pm April 30-May 2

  • “The Wizard of Oz” at Owen High School: 7pm April 30-May 2, 2pm May 2
